Guardare un paesaggio è sempre un esercizio di tempo.

Looking at a landscape is always an exercise in time. 
The landscape never reveals itself all at once: it allows itself to be intuited, it changes with the light, it changes with the seasons, it is constructed in the memory of the observer. 
This collection of montages stems from a photographic practice based on return, on the gaze that insists and lingers. 
The places presented — the hills of Bologna — are photographed several times throughout the year. 
The sequence of images does not fix a moment in time, but exposes a continuous variation. 
It is an invitation to see how the landscape never ceases to be something else, while remaining itself.
In this context, photography takes on the role of a tool for slow observation. 
It does not seek spectacle or exception: it seeks rhythm. 
The act of photographing becomes a way of measuring duration, of making visible what changes gradually.
